Meet Santa’s Reindeer at Sam’s Christmas Village
Every night of the season, the magic comes alive when you step up close to our live reindeer.
These gentle, antlered ambassadors of the North Pole are one of the most beloved parts of a visit to Sam’s. Kids (and grown-ups) light up when they see them in person — the soft eyes, the quiet strength, the pure Christmas spirit standing right in front of them.
Fun Reindeer Facts:
- Both male and female reindeer grow antlers
- In the wild they live across northern Scandinavia, Russia, Iceland, Canada, and Alaska
- They can jump up to 25 feet and run 40–50 miles per hour
- Santa’s classic sleigh team is an all-female crew. Male reindeer shed their antlers in November, while females keep theirs until February — so at Christmas time, the famous team is made up of the ladies!
There’s something special about standing near these animals under the glow of millions of lights. It’s a quiet, memorable moment that feels like pure holiday magic.
Come meet them for yourself this season at Sam’s Christmas Village in Somerset, Wisconsin. The reindeer are waiting every night.
